Baby Shower "Book Card"

Gee - blogger's not really been nice this pass day and a half ago for me, I know I've missed a lot of your recent postings and I'm still trying to get caught up with Bloglovin.  But their are so many of you that are not hooked up with it.   My apologizes if I haven't commented on your postings recently.  I don't know if I'm the only one feeling stressed out by this or what.  Uugggh!
Anyhow I have another lengthy post to share, I 've made another "Book Card" for my nephew's wife (Shari) and this is for her baby shower coming up in  a month.  I'm early doing this but my mom is going over to Oahu in a couple of weeks and she will be house sitting and taking care of my Aunt for two weeks while my cousin and hubby go on a buying trip for their business that they have there.   So much for that - back to my book card.   The ecstatic parents know that they are having a boy and this makes it even more special for them.  I wanted to create something different instead of just making an ordinary card.   When I made my first "book card" I knew that I already was going to be making more  of them, it doesn't take that long to start one.   It's adding the details and trying to figure what goes where, LOL!   Let me know what you think !
Because it's a book card, I wanted to show you all the different angles of it from front to back.   Note:  my camera battery kept blinking on me - battery low so that's why some of the pics didn't stand out that clear.  Is this adorable or what, I just love Mo's Digital images this is one cute baby.  Ooh the fun part was paper piecing the umbrella~

Supplies used:
Digital image - Mo's Digital Image (Baby Shower)
papers - Doodle Bug ( Alphababies)
sentiments - My Creative Time, My Craft Spot
Dies - My Creative Time, Taylored Expression, Spellbinders
Cricut - Create a Critter. giraffe cut at 3"
embellies - pearls, rhinestones, ribbons, pop up foam dots, bakers twine, buttons, eyelet
embossing folder - Cuttlebug

I hope this got you inspired and I'm so grateful for my bloggy friend (Sharon) for being my inspiration on this project.    Hugs to you girlfriend!

Enjoy your crafty moments and be back soon~

Summertime Challenge!

It's my 2nd posting for Creative Corner Challenge!  This time around we are working with the theme" SummerTime- cookout, fun, swimming,  anything that you love to do in summer.    For my card I went with the digi image from Digi Stamp Boutique (Rosie-and ice cream).   When I was a youngster it was one of my favorite places to be and it was going to the beach.  Who doesn't love playing in the sand, collecting sea shells, catching all those sand crabs.  Of course here in Hawaii you can go to the beach anytime of the year, even if it rains just going to your favorite spots and barbecuing on the grill under the covered pavilions was just as fun.  I gave Rosie a bit of tan on her complexion you might say she looks sun burned, LOL!  This was my intention when I had her colored up with copic markers.  My sun die is from IO and the cloud die is from My Creative Time.  The sentiment is from Dorecela Stamps and the background paper were scraps and from Doodlebug.  She is also chilling and having herself a triple deck strawberry cone which I added some glossy accent to make it pop.  She looks  likes he had so much fun playing at the beach!

Don't forget to stop by the blog and check out what the rest of the DT have for your inspiration.   See ya back here for another fun challenge!

Book of Cards!

Hello peep~
Hope your weekend was awesome, being busy dusting my crafty room all day yesterday and FB hopping in between everything else . LOL!  I came across a project that Sharon from Gramma's House of Cards had posted and was so inspired by the cuteness of it that I stopped what I was doing and went right into this project... I just love doing my projects freely and this one was amazing and challenging to do.  It is so darn cute, easy and so many possibilities to create it.   I've been a fan of Gramma's Sharon for such a long time she is so creative and amazing with anything she does.  For sure I will be making tons of them, it's perfect for all occasions and in real it's so pretty, I'm all awe on this project I accomplished.  LOL!
Here's the start of it, pardon the photo of them, camera battery was getting really low on this shot!

Now here is the finished project - "WOW" what a big difference, huh!

I used a bunch of supplies, I'm a die hoarder and love every die that comes out!
Check out the dimension of it, is this crazy awesome or what.   This was the fun part of making it, I have the patience so it went smoothly.  But if you're the type that just wants to rush into it, you can really mess up the folds.  LOL!  The rest was using my imagination and slapping it together.  And of course writing down all my notes so I don't have to measure out all my matting again.  I think this will take place of my shadow boxes that I've been making, I really love this it really looks like a book.  Thanks Gramma Sharon!
And peeps if you are curious on what supplies I used leave me a comment and I will reply back.  The post is just as long and it  would be endless to jot everything down, hehe!
See you back here soon~

Sympathy Card!

Here's a quick post to share a sympathy card that I made for my uncle who passed away recently.  We have his services coming up soon.  From the photo it looks really busy but in real it's just so perfect.  The papers are from Prima Marketing, the sentiment stamp is Verve Stamps and the dies are from IO.   The sea gulls signifies what he really enjoys watching, he used to always hang out with his retired buddies at their favorite fishing spot and just chit chat all day long and he would always say his sea gull friends would be their waiting for him.  He would makes us laugh, and tell us the cutest stories about those birds, he would bring them stale bread and they would eat until they were content and fly above them and just circle around where they were.   He surely will be missed, but no more suffering for him, now he can re-unite with my aunt and my dad.

Thanks for the stop over and see ya back here soon!
