Happy Birthday!

SIGN UP FOR MY CARD SWAP HERE!

Here's a birthday card that I made for a sweet friend that I met through blogland (Colleen) and it's her birthday coming up soon.  So I decided to make her a card  and I know she loves the colors of purple. I paper piece the image (Ayako) on the umbrella and her kimono and all that was left to color was her head and I used Spectrum Noir on her face and copics on her hair... Everyone has their own preference but I really like how the Spectrum Noir blends out evenly especially on the face of the images. I bought 3 sets each set comes with 6  different shades the one for the faces is called ( Pale Hues) and  the other two are reds and yellows..  What is so nice about  Spectrum Noir the inks are already coordinated in the set to match and blend verses copics you have to buy tons of different shades to get the right shade you want to make it look nice.. Don't get me wrong I love copics but experimenting with Spectrum Noir to me they are just as great and yet way way cheaper.  And I've been seeing them being re-introduced back into lot of the blog sites.
Anywho here is the card I made:
Oops on the glare on both photos.

Recipe for my card:
Stamp - Ayako (Sister Stamps)
SpectrumNoir - Face -FS2, FS3, PP1
                   Hair- C5,C7,C9
Papers from: Kaiser craft (Lilac Avenue)
stickles
And here is the photo of the Spectrum Noir (Pale Hues) I'm using for the faces:

LOL- took this photo on my messy work desk-

Enjoy the new week ahead...

Tweets for my Tweet!

MY CARD SWAP HERE!

Here's a cute new digi image from Milk Coffee Stamp (Coco) and she can be found in their etsy shop here.  For this image I used my my brand new markers that I ordered and used it on her face and I really like it Spectrum Noir.  I bought (3) sets which has (6) alcohol pens in each set and they are just like copics but way less expensive.  The rest of the image I used my copic markers, the sentiment is from  Doodle Pantry from a digi set I bought awhile back, the grass , leaf and wee flowers is from a rak from sweet (Dora) I had the leaf colored to make it look like a ivy growing up on the side of the house and added tiny rhinestones from taylored expressions.  I also added diamond glaze to the panels of the side of the windows to give it the mirror glass effect and  paper is from the paper pad (Chapter One) Kaiser Craft.

May's sign up for my "Anything Goes Card Swap" is "NOW" open!

Hello New Follower's Also New &  Previous Players!

My "Anything Goes Card Swap" for the month of  MAY is now open!  I decided to have it open sooner so I have a better idea so I can keep track on the total entries before I leave for my vacay.... I will extend the sign up until May 4th midnight.. I will be back early Saturday morning and will work on the partners by mid morning Sunday May 6th.
For my new follower's and all interested my card swap is basically pairing you off and you are to  create a card, or a tag, any crafty project and you exchange with your partner.  Each month the theme's change, so for the month of MAY it will be "FLOWERS" however you want to interpret it.  It can be a die cut, a hand rolled flower, a stamp, decal etc....  This is not a challenge but a clean and fun swap, it gives you the opportunity to meet new friends and just have fun creating something for your partner.. Everyone loves receiving happy mail and this is one way of receiving it.   We all play in challenges and sometimes you get chosen and maybe never.  Well this will bring happy smiles knowing that you will be expecting a little something from your partner just by participating in something like this. And with your swap it is your preference if you want to add in a little token of a appreciation for your partner.  You are not pressured if you do or don't.
I've got a high feedback from all my previous player's how excited they get when they receive their happy mail it's been (6) months since I started the swap and I hope to continue as long as I can get everyone to participate.  I need even numbers so any odd number that signs up will be dropped out and will have to re-enter for the next new month... So if you would like to play in this fun swap please email me directly to: snases@hawaii.rr.com and on the subject note: MAY CARD SWAP!
All new player's that never played before please send me your name, address, email and http blog.
Also just so everyone knows, their's alot of previous players that have been playing in my swap and play in other swaps and they don't have a blog.   It will be nice that you do have a blog so everyone can become your follower and see and share what you create on your projects.. Although it is not recommended but would be nice if you did for my swap.   And also my card swap is not on any contract, it's on a month to month.   If you want to play every month like a lot of them do it's fine,  and if you don't it's all okay too.
By the way I will be gone from Aug. 29th until May4th all my posting for that will week will be sheduled postings.
Whew, that was a long posting... LOL!

hugs~

Today I'm sharing a card using Tiddly Inks digi (Wryn - Whatcha doin') and this time I had put her in a frame that was a freebie made by Melissa on  Christy's 2 year Anniversary Party for Tiddly Inks.

Here's a card that I made using Wryn (Whatcha Doin'!) and she can be bought here at Tiddly Inks.   Oh, btw Kiki the little pooch is also a freebie too and she can be found here from Tiddly Inks.
I'm using Grand Madison Window from Memory Box, lace (blush) from American Crafts a little curtain effect (he,he), pillow sticker from  Studio 112 like it's a picture hanging up on her bedroom wall, computer generated sentiment, flowers and bee from Hero Arts, grass from a RAK sweet (Dora), copic and memento markers, papers from stash, diamond glaze, stickles, spellbinders label one and pop up dots.

Entering this card in the following challenges:
